Our Gel Pack –20°C is a negative phase change material which enables to maintain cold chain in negative temperatures of your pharmaceutical or food products during the shipment. It is an economical solution, very easy to stock and less dangerous comparing to dry ice. They are non-toxic, non-hazardous and biodegradable.
The Gel Packs –20°C are very simple to use : you freeze them at a temperature below –25°C during few days up to it is totally frozen. Then, you can insert the Gel Packs -20°C directly in your insulated packaging by creating a belt around the products.
They have to be used with molded polystyrene boxes for less than 48h of transport or with polyurethane Cryo-Box for transport higher than 48h or for difficult climates. The quantity of Gel Packs -20°C to put in the packaging is subject to a calculation which takes in consideration the type of insulating packaging used, the shipment duration and the external temperature during transport.
